Environmental awareness and quality

Bergsmansgårdar's aim is to manufacture the houses according to environmentally conscious guidelines where our goal is to develop quality products that are always friendly to the environment.

Environmentally friendly refers to long-term responsible manufacturing with conscious material choices that are gentle on people, animals and the nature.

We create our wooden houses exclusively with natural meterials and without energy- amd resource consuming means of production, which enables a minimal negative environmental impact at all stages of the manufacturing process. Through the material choices and an eye for precision, we can produce environmetally friendly quality products.

We choose Swedish materials with care based on environment, aesthetics and quality. Our entire production is done in domestic materials.

Swedish pine

The process of manufacturing, processing and producing Swedish pine is very gentle on the environment. Creating the material pine from the domestic pine tree accounts for a very small part of the harmful greenhouse gas emissions in Sweden.

The pine tree that is cut down and transported during its lifetime in the forest absorbed and converted carbondioxide into oxygen in larger amounts than the trucks' emissions during transport.

Pine is a beautiful type of wood that is perfect for our small wooden houses, based on an environmental and quality assessment. Pine is the optimal material for our goals and criteria. We work for lasting aesthetics and stand for quality in genuine craftmanship. Materials and color choices play a crucial role in our product development. Our wooden houses must be environmental- and quality sustainable.

Traditional lineseed oil paint

Linseed oil pain is the obvious alternative for us because the paint is chemical and petroleum free, based on the natural ingredient linseed oil. We only use environmentally friendly linseed oil paint. The paint does not contain harmful surface tensioning agents or preservatives. The color does not emit long-term to the indoor air, which creates a non-toxic indoor climate.
